The Sr. Manufacturing Engineering Manager plans, directs, and coordinates the activities of the engineering and calibration departments, facilitating efficient manufacturing operations across the organization. Our leadership understands the need for continuous education and provides opportunities for further development. What You'll Be Doing Recruit, interview, hire, and train new staff in the department. Provide constructive and timely performance evaluations. Handle discipline and termination of employees. Responsible for the site calibration program and department. Collaborate with other manufacturing managers and leadership to set and assess priorities across teams. Responsible for the assessment of manufacturing processes for compliance, cost effectiveness and feasibility. Make and implement recommendations to reduce costs and improve efficiency following the site quality management system and change control processes. Responsible for engineering support and/or ownership in driving any projects impacting the manufacturing lines and/or processes to include but not limited to value improvement projects, new product releases, non-conformance resolutions, and CAPAs. Provide guidance and support in development and execution of plant renovations and expansions, coordinating with outside contractors and vendors as required. Provide leadership and support for tool room personnel supporting engineering, maintenance and facilities projects. Ensure compliance with health and safety laws, regulations, and guidelines, including EPA and OSHA requirements. Prepare and implement the departmental budget. Responsible for the assignment and on-time completion of training for all personnel assigned to the manufacturing engineering and calibration teams. Responsible for ensuring support of process and tooling creation for new product development and the acceptance of these processes and tools from the Advanced Manufacturing Engineering team. Create and modify documents using Microsoft Word, Excel, Office or other software programs. Support staff in assigned project-based work and installation initiatives. Provide support for production and product development operations. Seek competitive and negotiate sources for materials, equipment, and services.
