Internal Audit Consultant (Metro Detroit Area)
Location: Remote with occasional in-person meetings

Job Description:
We are seeking a highly experienced Internal Audit Consultant to join our team on a temporary basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in internal auditing and be able to seamlessly integrate into our team and processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct internal audits as directed by the lead auditor.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
- Identify and assess areas of significant business risk.
- Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls.
- Prepare detailed reports on audit findings and recommendations.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of audit tasks.
- Attend onboarding and offboarding sessions at our office.
- Participate in occasional in-person meetings as required.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in internal audit.
- Strong knowledge of auditing standards and procedures, laws, rules, and regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in audit software and Microsoft Office Suite.
