Hours: up to 12 hours between 7:00am-7:00pm
QPS Employment Group is hiring a Technical Support Representative for a company in Springfield, MO. This is a contract to hire opportunity.
Technical Support Representative Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Answer technical questions for dealers on programming and troubleshooting through any means of communication
- Make customers and their needs a primary focus of their actions; developing and sustaining productive customer relationships
- Provide in-person training to dealers when necessary, which includes training on how to specify components of the systems, and how to install and program those components
- May attend domestic and international tradeshows as a representative during the show and offer sales and technical support and expertise
- Further develop knowledge of security industry and its products through field assignments and industry trade publications
- Continue to learn programming and hardware functions through self-study when not answering calls
- Protect operation by keeping information confidential
- Observe company policies
- Continuously strives to find processes that create improved efficiency while maintaining conformance to requirements
- May perform related duties or fill in for others in the department or other departments when requested
- May train or instruct fellow workers regarding own duties
- Contribute to team effort by performing other duties as assigned
- Job duties are subject to change as directed by management
Technical Support Representative Requirements:
- Excellent verbal communication skills; able to convey competence, confidence, and empathy over any means of communication
- Knowledge of computer hardware/software and digital data communications
- Ability to learn technical materials quickly, as demonstrated by grades/transcripts/references
- Ability to remain calm and professional in pressure situations
- Ability to accurately follow detailed instructions
- Ability to work in a non-smoking work environment
- Punctual, have a good work attitude, and work cooperatively with others in the department and company
- Accept and benefit from constructive criticism
- Any other equivalent combination of training and experience
- Must be detail-oriented and customer centered
