Life Strategies Counseling Inc, part of the Optum family of businesses, is seeking a Medical Director-Psychiatrist to join our team in Jonesboro, AR. Optum is a clinician-led care organization that is changing the way clinicians work and live. 

As a Medical Director-Psychiatrist, you will be providing psychiatric care in a direct, hands-on capacity while gaining valuable experience supervising offers and managing operations across multiple Life Strategies Counseling locations. 

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provides psychiatric care, medication assessments, and crisis response to new and existing outpatient clients 
• Oversees clinical operations at 16 Life Strategies locations throughout Arkansas 
• Develops individual evaluations based upon assessment data and provides therapeutic interventions as necessary
• Directly supervises APRNs to help them provide exceptional patient care

Required Qualifications:

• BE/BC psychiatrist licensed in Arkansas 
• 5+ years of clinical experience 
• Experience providing direct psychotherapy services to individuals and families 

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Experience in a leadership role 
• Proven solid computer and basic technology skills 
• Proven solid problem-solving and decision-making abilities
