Full-time: Operating Room Manager - 10K Sign-on Bonus

 

No Weekends, No Call, No Holidays 

Bon Secours Surgery Center at Harbour View is seeking an Operating Room Manager.  We are a busy multispecialty surgery center serving Northern Suffolk and an affiliate of United Surgical Partners International (USPI).  USPI’s mission is to care for each patient and their family as if they were our own.  Each patient, each family, each and every time.  

The Nurse Manager is responsible for all departmental functions in support of USPI’s mission, vision, and facility goals. This position establishes effective working relationships with all constituencies including patients, physicians, employees, volunteers, and vendors.  The Nurse Manager works with Senior Management in meeting facility safety, quality, customer service, and financial goals.  Oversees surgery and sterile processing services.  Assists as RN Circulator and Scrub Tech as necessary.

  • Recruitment, retention, staffing, and supervision of nursing personnel 
  • Is available for guidance, counseling and support as needed by the nursing staff 
  • Holds individual employees accountable for assigned responsibilities and individual goals and performance expectations through annual performance evaluations and conferences

Required Skills:
  • Education:  Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing – BSN preferred 
  • Licensure:  Current license as a VA Registered Nurse 
  • Certifications:  BLS required, Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 90 days; CNOR preferred 
  • Clinical Experience:  minimum 2 years’ OR experience preferred 
  • Supervisory - prior leadership/management experience preferred 
  • Good command of the English language, both verbal and written  
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
