Bon Secours Surgery Center at Harbour View is seeking a Pre-Op/PACU Manager. We are a busy multispecialty surgery center serving Northern Suffolk and an affiliate of United Surgical Partners International (USPI). USPI’s mission is to care for each patient and their family as if they were our own. Each patient, each family, each and every time. Â
The Nurse Manager is responsible for all departmental functions in support of USPI’s mission, vision, and facility goals. This position establishes effective working relationships with all constituencies including patients, physicians, employees, volunteers and vendors. The Nurse Manager works with Senior Management in meeting facility safety, quality, customer service, and financial goals. Oversees Pre-op/PACU/PAT; Assists as Pre-op/PACU/PAT RN as necessary.Â
Qualifications:Â
- Education: Graduate of a professional school of Nursing – BSN preferredÂ
- Licensure: Current license as a VA Registered NurseÂ
- Certifications: BLS required, Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 90 days Â
- Experience:Â Â Â
- Clinical – 2 years’ ambulatory experience preferred Â
- Supervisory - Prior leadership/management experience preferredÂ
- Good command of the English language, both verbal and written Â
- Positive attitude and willingness to learnÂ

- Independent decision making skillsÂ
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projectsÂ
- Excellent customer service skillsÂ
- Advocate of patient safety and quality of careÂ
- Provide leadership and support in developing and maintaining effective relationships with the center staff and the medical staffÂ
- Establish, maintain, analyze, and evaluated standards of nursing care within the Center in compliance with professional nursing standards and recommended perioperative proceduresÂ
- Recruitment, retention, staffing, and supervision of nursing personnelÂ
- Is available for guidance, counseling and support as needed by the nursing staffÂ
- Holds individual employees accountable for assigned responsibilities and individual goals and performance expectations through annual performance evaluations and conferencesÂ
