Job Description

  • Reviews P&ID's, reads and revises interlock schematics/motor schematics, wiring diagrams, loop diagrams, demo packages, and I/O loading. Creates junction boxes, marshaling panels, and DCS/PLC cabinets with a bill of materials (BOM).
  • Creates instrument installation details and generates material take-offs to support estimates. Creates conduit and cable tray drawings, including support details and sizing calculations based on applicable codes and client standards.
  • Applies design skills in electrical low voltage applications to support instrumentation design, such as providing 120 VAC power to instruments, designing lighting/instrument power panels, establishing 120 VAC UPS circuits, and ensuring compliance with grounding/bonding requirements as per NEC standards.
  • Conducts field surveys and plans/coordinates hot/cold cutovers. Demonstrates self-motivation, excellent client interface skills, and takes responsibility for all aspects of the work product deliverables.
  • Experience with fiber is desired.
