This position is full time (40 hours/week) Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00am - 5:00pm MST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime. Our office is located at 20414 N 27th Ave, Ste 100, Phoenix, AZ 85027.

We offer 2-4 weeks of on-the-job training. The hours of the training will be aligned with your schedule.

             

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Answers 50-70 calls from patients, resolving moderate to complex issues.
  • Schedule and verify appointments in clinical information system.
  • Verify and update patient demographic and insurance information.
  • Send and receive tasks to Provider offices to assist patient with access to medical care.
  • Receive and process; expedite stat and at-risk referrals.
  • Contact patients to inform of appointment and referral status.
  • Extreme high volume data entry.
  • Process and resolve expedited patient complaints.
  • Review and processing of medication refills.
  • Proactive response to inquiries from patients, Providers, and internal medical personnel.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED OR equivalent work experience
  • Must be 18 of age OR older
  • 1+ years experience with computer and Windows PC applications, which includes the ability to navigate and learn new and complex computer system applications
  • 1+ years experience with electronic medical record systems
  • Experience working in healthcare setting (Doctor’s office, acute/long term care facilities, medical insurance company
  • Ability to work M-F during our normal business hours of 8:00am – 5:00pm MST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime or weekends

                 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of experience in a related environment (i.e. office, administrative, clerical, customer service, etc.) using phones and computers as the primary job tools.
  • Prior experience with Epic
