Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Workday Systems Specialist to join our team and play a critical role in the implementation and maintenance of Workday. This role will be focused on the entire HRIS implementation and be a cross-workstream key resource that will drive the program forward with their deep functional expertise of the system, and their experience within project management, change management, and requirements gathering. After the completion of the implementation, this role will be instrumental in driving the implementation further by focusing on maintenance, support, and enhancements by identifying opportunities and configuring the system to meet the organizational requirements. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Workday and a deep understanding of HR processes, data management, configuration, and design.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the implementation of the Workday by designing the system to meet local requirements and HR processes. Ensure proper functionality and alignment with organizational needs.
  • Assist with driving consistent processes and data collection efforts globally.
  • Assist with project management activities, including tracking milestones, risks, and deliverables.
  • Collaborate with HR teams and stakeholders to gather detailed requirements for various modules. Translate these requirements into technical specifications and configurations.
  • Lead the testing efforts by writing test scripts and work with the regional leads and local offices to conduct user acceptance testing.
  • Manage and update documentation, such as standard operating procedures, quick reference guides, business process maps, security permission matrix
  • Review and evaluate the impact of changes in the semi-annual release to understand impacts, and implement the changes, ensuring proper governance and communication.
  • Communicate system changes, upgrades and general information to Human Resources teams and End-Users
  • Collect and input accurate HR data into the system, ensuring data integrity and consistency across all modules.
  • Provide training and support to HR users within the region, offering guidance on usage and troubleshooting issues as they arise.
  • Generate reports and analytics using data to support regional HR decision-making and identify areas for improvement.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience with Workday implementation, configuration, and maintenance.
  • Prior experience in HRIS or similar HR technology roles, preferably within an global organization
  • Strong understanding of HR processes and data management.
  • Proficiency in Core HR. Experience with Performance & Goals, Succession, Learning Management, Compensation, Recruiting, and Onboarding preferred.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a regional and global team.
  • Effective communication skills to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, especially regarding data accuracy and security.
