As a key member of our EHS Department, the Health & Safety Specialist will work closely with our manufacturing sites on an array of H&S issues to ensure a safe working environment and compliance with federal, state and local regulations. As the liaison between Corporate EHS and our manufacturing locations, your responsibilities will include:

Training Program Development:
Develop, update, and maintain training programs and supporting materials related to environmental health and safety (EHS) that align with regulatory requirements and company policies.
Create training materials, presentations, and online resources to support EHS training initiatives.
Facilitate various training workshops.
Â
Training Delivery:
Conduct training sessions, workshops, and seminars for employees, ensuring their understanding of EHS principles and regulations.
Â
H&S (including Compliance and Reporting):
Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging H&S trends to continually enhance the training program.
Prepare regular and ad hoc injury reports for distribution.
Participate in plant compliance audits.
Review annual injury information to meet OSHA reporting requirements.
Review, modify, and distribute policy and program documents to incorporate industry standards and regulatory updates.
Administer enterprise safety management software (Velocity EHS). Collaborate with Velocity EHS on continuous improvement to the site, support issues, and business reviews.
The ideal candidate will possess the following:Â
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or closely related field or equivalent work experience.
- 2+ years H&S experience in a manufacturing environment
- Good knowledge of OSHA regulations
- Computer proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint
- Proven Project Management skillsÂ
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- The ability to work independently and with a team
