As the Director of People Development, you will spearhead a world-class Learning & Development strategy, partnering with businesses to design and deliver creative learning initiatives. You will act as a strategic business partner, developing new talent solutions and fostering a continuous learning mindset across the organization. By creating and implementing L&D programs that build capabilities at individual, team, and organizational levels, you will be a champion for Crown's learning culture!
Key responsibilities of the Director of People Development include:
Strategic Planning & Alignment
- Conduct training needs assessments to identify individual and team development opportunities.
- Partner with business leaders to ensure learning programs directly align with departmental and company-wide goals.
- Track and measure the effectiveness of learning programs and demonstrate their impact on business objectives.
- Stay abreast of the latest trends and best practices in the people development field ensuring Crown remains highly competitive.
- Identifying external providers to meet the development and learning needs of Crown.
Learning Program Design & Delivery
- Design, develop, and implement engaging learning programs across various formats (workshops, online courses, mentoring programs, on-the-job training).
- Identify and implement best-in-class learning and development tools and resources.
Coaching, Development & Employee Engagement
- Lead Crown’s Employee engagement process and tool (Glint platform) This includes all aspects from survey roll-out to action plans.
- Coach and mentor high-potential employees to accelerate their growth and prepare them for future leadership roles.
Communication & Technology
- Using the LMS module to create and maintain learning pathways for job families based on capability frameworks and learning offerings available and leveraging the learning management system to navigate learners to drive their own development.
Qualifications:
In addition to the specific responsibilities listed above, the ideal candidate will possess the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Organizational Development, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Certifications such as PHR, SPHR, or SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP are a plus.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in a Learning and Development or People Development role.
- Proven experience in designing, developing, and delivering effective training programs.
- Strong coaching and mentoring skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in learning management systems (LMS) and other relevant HR technologies. SAP SuccessFactors implementation and management preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- A passion for creating a positive and engaging learning experience.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels of the organization.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality in handling sensitive information and employee interactions.
Travel
- Domestic and International Travel requirements approximately 40%
