Rapid Response Engineer – Supply Chain Planning

Location: Bay area, CA (preferred) or remote within USA
Duration: 6 months contract (possibility of extension)
Pay rate: open to market rate


Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Rapid Response Engineer to join our client’s Supply Chain Planning team. This role involves working with Kinaxis RapidResponse (now known as Kinaxis Maestro), a leading supply chain orchestration platform, to drive demand and supply planning initiatives. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in supply chain systems, particularly RapidResponse/Maestro, and will play a critical role in configuring, managing, and optimizing the platform to meet organizational needs.


Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Supply Chain Planning team to support materials planning, demand forecasting, and supply chain optimization.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in Kinaxis RapidResponse/Maestro, ensuring the system aligns with business objectives and integrates seamlessly with other supply chain tools.
  • Administer and maintain the system, including user management, system updates, and troubleshooting.
  • Utilize the platform to gather data points, perform in-depth analysis, and generate actionable insights to support decision-making processes.
  • Author and configure planning templates, dashboards, and analytics within the system to enhance its functionality for end users.
  • Engage with cross-functional teams to identify and implement customizations to meet evolving business requirements.
  • Provide training and guidance to users to maximize the system's value and usability.
  • Work independently to identify, analyze, and resolve system-related challenges without requiring extensive supervision.
  • Partner with on-site and offshore teams to deliver comprehensive solutions and ensure system scalability.
Qualifications:
  • Expertise in Kinaxis RapidResponse/Maestro, including system administration, authoring, and configuration.
  • Strong knowledge of demand planning and supply planning processes.
  • Proven ability to work independently and proactively identify solutions.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to synthesize data into meaningful insights and strategies.
  • Experience collaborating with global teams, including on-site and offshore resources.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of presenting data-driven recommendations to management.
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in supply chain planning or related roles, with a focus on system customization and optimization.
Preferred Skills:
  • Familiarity with AI-driven decision-making tools for supply chain orchestration.
  • Experience with large-scale enterprise planning systems, such as SAP, in conjunction with Kinaxis Maestro.
  • Prior experience in a fast-paced, global organization with complex supply chain processes.
