Jefferson Wells is seeking a skilled Procurement Consultant to join our team on a remote basis starting ASAP. The ideal candidate will lead procurement activities and support vendor onboarding processes to ensure a seamless purchasing experience. This role requires expertise in negotiations, contract review, vendor management, and onboarding procedures.
Hourly Pay: $50/hr. W2 (Negotiable depending on experience)
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead Procurement Activities:
- Ensure proper internal scoping of Purchase Order (PO) requests, identifying details such as the scope of work, location, timeline, budget, and quantities.
- Conduct negotiations and reviews, including terms and conditions (T&C), pricing strategies, and drafting the ordering process.
- Manage approval execution for procurement decisions, ensuring compliance with internal policies.
- Maintain thorough documentation of all procurement processes, approvals, and contracts for audit purposes.
2. Support Vendor Onboarding:
- Facilitate the collection and documentation of key vendor information such as contact lists, invoice processes, ACH forms, and tax information.
- Refine and enable an efficient ordering process, ensuring alignment with both vendor capabilities and company needs.
- Manage the handoff process, ensuring smooth introductions between departments such as billing, ticketing, and escalation points.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in procurement or vendor management.
- Strong negotiation and contract review skills.
- Knowledge of procurement processes, purchasing systems, and best practices.
- Ability to work remotely and manage time effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with vendor onboarding processes, including billing and escalation paths.
