At American Honda Finance Corporation, we are dedicated to satisfying the financing needs of consumers who are obtaining Honda and Acura vehicles, motorcycles, power equipment, aircraft, and marine products.
Job Purpose:
Procurement Specialists at American Honda Finance Corporation manage cross-functional procurement projects, including sourcing, RFx programs, supplier analysis, stakeholder decision-making, and negotiating commercial contracts in compliance with financial regulations and internal policies. The Specialist is the primary contact for business units and suppliers related to assigned projects. Responsibilities include managing stakeholders, developing RFx documents, analyzing supplier responses, and creating decision analysis documents for supplier selection. Other duties include overseeing contract life cycle management, commodity code administration, and supporting special projects and initiatives, including compliance changes, supplier audits, and business unit training.
Key Accountabilities
Who are we seeking:
- We are seeking a candidate who meets our high standards, holds a bachelor’s degree in procurement, law, business, or a closely related field, or has an equivalent combination of education and experience. A master's degree or ISM certification is a plus.
- The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of experience in each of the following areas:
- Sourcing and RFx programs
- Evaluation and analysis of proposed pricing as relates to the current market
- Manage and coordinate decision analysis for supplier selection
- Negotiation of commercial contracts
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
Other Job Specific Skills:
- Strong negotiation skills required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including PowerPoint.
- Project management education or experience desired
- Computer skills with demonstrated knowledge of MS applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
- Familiarity with PeopleSoft, Oracle, SAP, or other common ERP systems
- Experience with MS Project, Visio, or similar programs desired

- Workstyle: Hybrid (Remote 3 days, in office 2 days)
- Travel 5%
