Pay Rate: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
How you will spend your day as a Saw Operator:
- Operate the EWP Saw
- Routine maintenance of the saw
- Unload inbound EWP freight
- Pull EWP products for the saw
• Keeping work area clean - Handling inventory and paperwork flow daily
EWP Saw Operator Requirements:
- 1 year or more of previous use of heavy machinery or EWP Saw.
- Safety Oriented - Uses machinery in a safe manner. Follows role safety practices.
- Physical. Ability to bend, twist, squat and reach. Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions.
- Heavy Lifting. Ability to lift up to 100lbs throughout the work shift.
- Teamwork. Ability to work as a team and help motivate others.
- Bilingual preferred (Spanish)
Skills and Abilities
- Ability to do basic math, read orders, write instructions and complete forms.
- Ability to effectively and professionally communicate with customers, other employees and supervisors using verbal and written skills.
- Ability to deal constructively with conflict and recognize potential problems.
- Proficiency with or ability to learn current technologies (e.g. Smartphone, Inventory Control Systems and other necessary business applications).
- Excellent teamwork & customer relationships
- Demonstration of leadership (three out of four required):
- Mentor new associates
- Willingness to train others
- Safety committee engagement
