Responsibilities

  • Deliver radiation therapy treatments to cancer patients as prescribed by the physician and directed by the physics department. 
  • Perform manual calculations.
  • Fabricate custom shielding blocks.
  • Perform Q.A. checks and warm-up Linear Accelerators.
  • Maintain constant communication with patients and family members to lend support and provide information concerning treatment.
  • Responsible for supervising all phases of student clinical rotations. 

Qualifications

Job Requirements

  • Graduate of an approved school of radiation therapy technology or a school of radiologic technology and one year radiation therapy program.
  • Must be registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology in Radiation Therapy and licensed by the State of Texas.
