Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Accountable for service delivery for enhancements and projects assigned to the clinical information systems team
  • Acts as point of escalation for issues identified, and drives toward issue resolution
  • Supports, develops, and coaches direct reports
  • Ensures that incidents / service requests, projects are managed appropriately and within specified timeframes
  • Acts as primary point of contact for operational leadership for assigned areas
  • Manages vendor relationships for assigned areas

Required Qualifications: 

  • 2+ years of experience working with hospital clinical information systems
  • 2+ years of leadership / management experience in a healthcare IT environment 
  • 2+ years of experience supporting healthcare providers and/or organizations
  • Proven solid written and verbal communication skills with a solid focus on Customer Service
  • Experience working in a fast paced, dynamic environment
  • Ability to collaborate with internal (IT) and external (operational) cross functional groups
  • Ability to work onsite in local Walnut Creek, CA office

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience in healthcare or healthcare IT
  • Experience in hospital laboratory information systems solidly
  • Experience with Epic applications, and integrating downstream systems with Epic
  • Experience leading a team
  • Experience with lab systems and instruments

 

California Residents Only: The salary range for this role is $88,000 to $173,200 annually. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
