Job Description:
The Multi-Modality Radiologic Technologist is responsible for providing safe patient care, assisting the physician during procedures, performing X-ray and CT procedures under the order of a licensed independent practitioner for diagnostic interpretation by a radiologist, and providing a safe procedure environment for patients undergoing invasive procedures.Education:
Certification Venipuncture - Required or within 6 months of assuming position
Additional Experience Requirements:
ARRT CT Certification required, starting 7/31/2019, for anyone who transfers into CT Technologists role after 7/31/2019, before that individual is reclassified as Multi-Modality Technologist (including for pay rate purposes). Multi-Modality Tech classification and pay rate attaches only after ARRT CT certification exam is passed. Failure to pass within 14 months after transfer into CT Technologist role results in individual remaining a Radiologic Technologist.
Certifications/Licensures:
BLS Basic Life Support - American Heart Association - Required
CRT Diagnostic - California Department of Public Health - Radiologic Health Branch - Required
CRT Fluoroscopy - California Department of Public Health - Radiologic Health Branch - Must be Obtained within 6 months of hire Required
Rad Techs - ARRT American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Required and Â
CT Computed Tomography - ARRT American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Required
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
