Job Description:
Supervises staff, including hiring, coaching, counseling, and performance appraisals. Tracks and analyzes productivity and quality outcomes and addresses opportunities for improvement utilizing process improvement strategies. Collaborates with Director, staff and interdisciplinary team to standardize, update and/or maintain policies and procedures to ensure consistent compliance. Promotes compliance with internal standards and regulatory and accreditation requirements. 24-hour responsibility and accountability for unit and programs supervised. Participates in the annual operational planning process. Executes priorities to ensure implementation of operation plan within the work unit or units. Promotes staff accountability and empowerment through formal and informal processes. Accountable for appropriate consistent staffing and scheduling. Serves as a role model for collaboration and collegiality on interdisciplinary teams. Promotes excellence in customer service.Education:
Master's Degree Nursing Required -or-
Bachelor of Science Nursing with Master's Degree Related Field Required
Experience:
2 years Nursing - Leadership as a Charge Nurse, Supervisor or Manager Required
Previous experience in Nursing - Pediatric Intensive Care Required
Minimum of 3 years' experience working within Pediatrics strongly preferred.
Certifications/Licensures:
RN Registered Nursing - California Board of Nursing Required
BLS Basic Life Support - American Heart Association Required
Specialty Certifications - ANCC American Nurses Credentialing Center Required within 2 years of hire and Must be included in the list of allowed certifications by ANCC for Magnet demographics

$177,963.00 - $266,945.00SalaryNote: Positions at JMH which are exempt (not eligible for overtime) under the level of Manager are listed as hourly for compensation purposes on this posting. The work shift will contain the word ‘exempt’ on it.
