Job Description:
The Program Manager of Nursing Excellence is an integrated leadership staff position serving a key role in facilitating activities and supporting operational initiatives related to maintaining ANCC (American Nurses Credentialing Center) Magnet® designation at John Muir Health. The Program Manager works under the direction of the Director of Nursing Excellence to support and enhance the culture of nursing excellence. The position serves as a highly visible, energetic champion of initiatives related to nursing excellence. This position has no supervisory functions.Education:Â
Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing - RequiredÂ
Bachelor's Degree - Health or Human Service field, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Allied Health, or Related Field - Required •Master's Degree - Health or Human Service field - PreferredÂ

Experience:Â
2 years Lead Role - RequiredÂ
5 years with multidisciplinary work groups - RequiredÂ

Additional Experience Requirements:Â
At least 2 years of experience must include responsibilities as a member of a team, workgroup or program.Â
Minimum 5years experience working with multi-disciplinary work groups, including clinical staff, focused on evidence-based practice, patient safety, and/or quality improvement initiatives in a hospital or health care organization.

Certifications/Licensures:Â
RN - Registered Nurse - Current California License - RequiredÂ
Specialty Certifications - ANCC American Nurses Credentialing Center Required within 2 years of hire and must be included in the list of allowed certifications by ANCC for Magnet demographicsÂ

Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point).Â
Strong verbal presentation skills.Â

$144,988.00 - $217,482.00SalaryNote: Positions at JMH which are exempt (not eligible for overtime) under the level of Manager are listed as hourly for compensation purposes on this posting. The work shift will contain the word ‘exempt’ on it.
