Job Summary

As a Client Executive at NetApp, you’ll take ownership of a portfolio of enterprise customers within the NetApp New England District  with a primary focus in the greater Boston territory. This role is responsible for driving growth through strategic account expansion and relationship development. While many accounts are well-established, there is also opportunity to identify and penetrate new enterprise customers where NetApp’s solutions can deliver significant value. Success in this role requires a strategic mindset, deep sales expertise, and the ability to uncover and develop high-impact opportunities.

 

You’ll work closely with a highly skilled technical team, including Solutions Engineers, to craft account strategies that align with customer objectives. NetApp continues to expand its capabilities, offering solutions that go beyond traditional on-prem storage while reinforcing our core strengths. As a trusted advisor, you will help customers optimize their data strategy, expand NetApp’s presence across multiple business units, and position solutions that drive long-term business impact.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Territory Ownership: Drive growth across named enterprise customers in your territory, identifying opportunities within existing accounts and selectively targeting net-new enterprise customers.
  • Sales Execution: Consistently achieve and exceed quota by expanding NetApp’s presence across multiple business units and uncovering new workloads.
  • Strategic Engagement: Utilize a consultative sales approach to identify customer needs and position NetApp as a strategic partner.
  • Collaboration: Partner closely with Solutions Engineers and internal teams to develop and deliver comprehensive solutions tailored to each customer.
  • Customer Leadership: Build and nurture executive relationships to align NetApp’s offerings with key business priorities.
  • Market Awareness: Stay ahead of industry trends, customer challenges, and competitive developments to strengthen NetApp’s position in the market.

Job Requirements

  • 7+ years of enterprise sales experience with a strong track record of growing large accounts and identifying new business opportunities.
  • A Hunter Mentality - sales development, prospecting, closing new logos, and taking accounts from 0 spend to long term customers is still something you LOVE to do. 
  • Deep understanding of enterprise IT, including storage, cloud, and hybrid environments.
  • Ability to navigate complex sales cycles, engage executive decision-makers, and drive strategic conversations.
  • A results-driven mindset with a passion for performance and execution.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • A collaborative approach, working with both customers and internal teams to drive long-term value.

Compensation:
The target salary range for this position is 294,865 - 381,590 USD. The salary offered will be determined by the candidate's location, qualifications, experience, and education and may be outside of this range. The range is based on 'On Target Earnings’ (OTE) representing the total potential earnings, which is the sum of the base salary and potential commission earned when performance targets are achieved. Final compensation packages are competitive and in line with industry standards, reflecting a variety of factors, and include a comprehensive benefits package. This may cover Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Retirement or Pension Plans, Paid Time Off (PTO), various Leave options, employee stock purchase plan, and/or restricted stocks (RSU’s). These offerings are subject to regional variations and governed by local laws, regulations, and company policies. We will provide detailed information about the specific benefits for your region during the recruitment process.
