Northrop Grumman Defense Systems Sector is seeking a Configuration Management Manager to join our growing efforts in support of a large program that supports repair efforts. The selected candidate will lead a team of Data Analysts working in Warner Robins, Georgia. The Configuration Management Team reports to Engineering and provides cross functional support to the site related to Configuration and Document Management of drawings, technical documents, CDRLs etc. Leadership characteristics and people engagement is of the upmost importance, with an ability to exhibit professionalism and create a team working and learning environment. Communication is paramount, with an ability to clearly define expectations and work through issues. Additional leadership characteristics include the ability and willingness to step-up and assume accountability when the perception of need exists, and an ability to accomplish tasks in a positive manner while managing multiple projects at the same time with varying levels of maturity. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Leads and plans the activities of the Configuration Management and Document Management Team, including performance reviews. Provides weekly updates on CM / DM activities to Engineering leadership. Works with Engineering leadership to improve CM / DM tools, techniques and procedures. Coordinates any revisions or updates to technical data products through established configuration management processes. Maintains metrics of the CM and DM activities to demonstrate and track performance. Reviews and analyzes released engineering change data and coordinates changes with engineering, quality, support, manufacturing, and engineering data control activities. Works closely with engineers to resolve any process related CM issues, and to drive process efficiency. Develops or implements new tools, including Product Lifecycle Management (PLM). Interfaces with Business Unit, Division, and Sector leadership to harmonize Configuration and Document Management procedures across the Operating Unit.
