Senior Technician/Senior Security Technician

Overview:

Fulfilling Department of State's (DOS)requirementto provide best-in-class technical security engineering, design, installation, maintenance, repair, and project management services in support of the U.S. Department of State (the Department or DOS), Bureau of Diplomatic Security (DS), Office of Security Technology (ST). In this role you will get to develop, install, and integrate technical security systems, network systems, and applications.

*** This position is contingent on contract award***

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Traveling 75% to develop, install, and integrate technical security systems, network systems, and applications in various overseas government facilities in US and Out.
  • Reading, interpreting, and drawing electrical, electronic, and electromechanical schematics.
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints.
  • Provide input and assistance in aligning staffing resources with project requirements to ensure successful project outcomes.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Install low voltage power supplies.
  • Use, repair, and/or calibration of electronic test equipment - meters, oscilloscopes.
  • Bench repair of electronic, electrical, and electromechanical equipment to the component level.
  • Install mechanical and electromechanical locking systems - electronic strikes, locks.
  • Install pedestrian and vehicular access control systems - door controls, vehicle barriers/arrest.
  • Install close circuit television systems (CCTV) - monitors, cameras, switchers.
  • Install Intrusion Detection Systems - alarms, detectors, sensors.
  • Install Public Address Systems - emergency notification systems, intercoms.
  • Biometric experience is a plus.
  • Once employed the candidates will be required to complete and maintain a yearly medical clearance and it is also a requirement that your medical screening is completed in a US based medical facility.

Security Clearance:

  • Possess or be able to obtain/maintain a SECRET security clearance.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Must be able to maintain required Security Clearance/access approvals.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands that will be required inside the workplace and for the position.Must lift, will sit, answer the phone, type on a keyboard, move files, etc.

Travel:

Traveling 75% of the time in various overseas government facilities in and outside of the US.
