Mechanical Assembler Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Hand torch, preheating, and welding operations
- Handle and move objects using forklifts, overhead cranes, and manual pallet jacks
- Read blueprints and verify the parts required prior to assembling
- Organize, plan, and prioritize works
- Communicate with supervisors, peers, or subordinates
- Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
Mechanical Assembler Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent experience
- At least 3 years of experience working as a Mechanical Assembler
- Heavy assembly experience
- Measuring tools knowledge: calipers (dial, digital, and occasionally vernier) micrometers, tapes measures, levels, squares, and other general measuring tools
- Assembly tools knowledge: screw drivers, socket wrenches, torque wrenches, general tooling
- Mathematical skills
- Ability to perform basic mathematical computations
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
- Ability to move or transfer products with an overhead crane, forklift or stand-up may be requiredÂ
- Ability to lift to 50lbs when required
- Required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms
- Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
