What will be your daily pursuit?:

The River Manager works as part of the operations management team and services as a front-line shift manager at the rafting depot, fly shop, and operations barn. They coordinate logistics, organize trips, mentor staff, and provide formal and on-the-job training. The River Manager plays a key role in ensuring the efficiency and safety of daily river operations. They lead daily safety meetings, adjust and communicate guide and driver schedules, and field customer service issues and on river incidents.

$2,256.00 biweekly

What will you do in this job?:
  • Organize and coordinate fishing trip departures and arrivals.
  • Organize and coordinate raft trip departures and arrivals.
  • Organize, coordinate, and help with staff needs for shuttles, rentals, and self-guides.
  • Communicate with office staff on updated guest participation numbers.
  • Manage guides, shuttle drivers with Glacier Raft Company operations.
  • Coordinates with Kitchen Manager for daily food service needs
  • Conduct morning meetings to update guide staff on current river conditions as well as continuing to train on guiding, river safety and company policies and procedures.
  • Address guest concerns or incidents on the river.
  • Organize daily operations to maximize efficiency and profits.
  • Ensure the cleanliness of the barn, downtown office, and company vehicles.
  • Assists guests and teammates where needed.
  • Be a utility player who can complete a variety of job duties.
  • Drive Shuttles and Guides as needed
What skills and experience do you need for this job?:
  • Previous guide experience required
  • Previous river leadership experience preferred
  • Class B CDL with passenger and airbrake endorsement
  • Swiftwater rescue training
  • CPR/First Aid certification
  • MT Guide License
  • Work-ethic and commitment to the team and guest is key.
