What will be your daily pursuit?:

Your daily pursuit is crafting amazing Montana-inspired dishes for our guests and leading our team of culinary professionals!

What will your compensation be?:

$18.00/hour

When does this adventure begin?:

This role is posted for our spring/summer 2025 season! 

What will you do in this job?:
  • Assist manager in training and investing in kitchen team’s learning and growth
  • Assist manager with ordering, inventory, etc. as needed
  • Report as Manager on Duty on days where manager is off work
  • Maintain sanitation and cleanliness of kitchen stations
  • Maintain state and federal food safety standards
  • Help lead team in preparation of daily staff lunches for all Glacier Raft Company Departments  
  • Facilitate kitchen team in preparing and packing food and hard gear for full day rafting trips
  • Facilitate kitchen team in preparing and packing box lunches for full day fishing trips
  • Prepare, pack, and serve Riverside Dinners to guests and facilitate team in doing the same.
  • Monitor upcoming trip schedule when manager is out of office to ensure food is prepped and ready
  • Coordinate with Manager on all food related overnight rafting trip logistics.
  • Pack and prepare all food and kitchen-related hard gear for overnight trips
  • Act as a liaison between the Kitchen Staff and the Kitchen Manager
  • Act as a liaison between the kitchen staff and the raft trip leaders and their supervisors.
  • Assist as needed with food support for special events, meetings, conferences, and banquets
  • Offers assistance to guests and teammates where needed
  • Be a utility player who can complete a variety of job duties
What skills and experience do you need for this job?:
  • Previous raft kitchen, food service and/or catering experience preferred
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Work-ethic and commitment to the team and guest is key.
  • Be willing and able to work solo or as part of a team
  • Be committed to Safety First and the highest quality of cleaning & sanitizing standards
  • Be organized with a great eye for detail
