The Intake Coordinator receives and analyzes incoming referral and order calls while effectively communicating patient/referral information to appropriate teams. Â
- Obtains demographic and clinical information from clients, physician’s offices, and other referral sources to compile referrals.Â
- Verifies new referring physician licenses on referrals taken in department.Â
- Researches coverage or pay source for each referral and verifies commercial policies and HIQA.Â
- Educates prospective patients, families, physicians, and hospitals regarding home health services available.Â
- Serves as a liaison between clinical and marketing staff.Â

- Minimum of High School education or G.E.D.
- Minimum of one to two years experience in office procedures.
- Minimum of one to two years Insurance/Medical experience.
