Patient Care Technician – Float Pool

The Patient Care Technician must demonstrate familiarity with dialysis procedures and the knowledge, skills, and judgement necessary to assume the responsibility of caring for the dialysis patient. This position exercises knowledge of patient rights and ensures an atmosphere which allows for the privacy, dignity, and well-being of all patients in a safe, secure environment. Position works under the supervision of a physician or registered nurse experienced or trained in dialysis treatment. Cooperates and works together with all co-workers to plan and complete job duties with applicable clinical and supervisory direction, including exercising job role-appropriate judgement. Although this individual will be assigned to a home facility they will support staffing needs at multiple facilities in an area or region. At least 1 year of PCT dialysis experience. Must have current certification from BONENT, NNCC, NNCO or, if applicable, other state-approved certification.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.  
  • Must have a desire to care for people and be comfortable working around blood and needles.   
  • Experienced PCT's must have current certification from BONENT, NNCC, or NNCO or if applicable other state approved certification.  
  • Experience PCT's are required to have current BLS/CPR certification.

Salary Range

  • $18 - $25.50 depending on experience and qualifications.
