JOB SUMMARY |
Works under general supervision to remove shell from castings using the pneumatic hammer, low temperature KOH, water blast, case blast, or by manually hammering shell away. Removes oxide layer by operating abrasive blast, finish blast, zero blast equipment. Continuously works to meet quality customer requirements with minimum inventory. Works as a team member in a cell environment to optimize product flow.

- Comply with all department, facility, corporate and regulatory EHS regulations.
- Wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE). (Must wear protective clothing, metatarsal safety shoes, leather apron, arm sleeves, safety glasses, face shield, ear protection and gloves).
- Report all job-related illness and injuries (Per Employee Handbook).
- Report all safety, health and environmental concerns to your supervisor in a timely manner.
- Attend all EHS training.

Employee is required to execute the following:
- Bending and Balancing
- Lifting and carrying to the waist-to-chest high level, floor to waist and chest to overhead.
- Carry items with two hands.

- Pushing, pulling and twisting
- Continuous standing, stooping
- Continuous Hand/Arm Vibration.
- Squatting/crouching/bending when retrieving stored items from lower shelves and file cabinets, moving equipment / product inspections, etc.
- Be able to climb ladders and stairs.
- Heavy lifting >50 lbs. in substantial amounts.
- Performs heavy laboring operations such as loading or unloading, manipulating and lifting castings.
- Must pass Jaeger 1 eye exam.
2. Training:
- Three weeks on-the-job training required for acceptable proficiency.
- Completed Training Folder.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
- Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
- This position entails access to export-controlled items and employment offers are conditioned upon an applicant's ability to lawfully obtain access to such items.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Basic Computer skills.
- Shell Removal Experience
- Knowledge of knockout and blast equipment
