Data Architect

Job Overview :

Our dynamic and growing network of medical practices is seeking a skilled Data Architect to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in compiling, organizing, sorting, and managing data from various systems and platforms, creating insightful reports using tools such as Power BI, and presenting findings to leadership and the executive team. The Data Architect will play a crucial role in supporting data-driven decision-making processes within the organization.

Responsibilities:

Data Design and Compilation :
- Develop and maintain the overall data architecture strategy for the enterprise using scalable high-performance models to integrate into various systems including Electronic Health Records (EHR), billing and revenue systems, patient portals, and lab systems.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare data standards like HL7, FHIR, and DICOM.
- Extract, compile, and clean data from diverse sources, including electronic health records, operational systems, and other relevant databases.
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and completeness through validation and auditing processes.

Data Integration and Report Development :
- Integrate data from multiple sources via collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Utilize tools like Power BI to design and create visually appealing and interactive reports and dashboards.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and translate them into actionable visualizations.
- Evaluate and recommend new data strategies and technologies including cloud storage, AI, and machine learning applications in healthcare.

Database Management and Security :
  • Implement and maintain databases, ensuring optimal performance, security, and scalability.
  • Monitor data flow between systems, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of patient and operational data.
  • Develop protocols for secure data access and permissions, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and other healthcare regulations.
  • Define and implement data governance policies to ensure data quality, security, and compliance.
  • Establish protocols for data sharing, access control, and data lifecycle management.
  • Ensure the security of sensitive medical data through encryption, access control, and other data protection measures.
  • Ensure data management practices comply with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA, GDPR, and other relevant laws.
Insightful Presentations :
- Present findings and insights to the executive team in a clear and compelling manner.
- Communicate complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders, facilitating informed decision-making.

Collaboration :
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, operations, and clinical staff, to understand data needs and contribute to overall business objectives.

Qualifications:
  • REQUIRED: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science);
  • PREFERRED: Certification in Healthcare IT or Data Management a plus.
  • ADDITIONAL DETAILS: Minimum of 3 years of experience in a data manager or architect role, preferably in the healthcare industry.
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools, with a strong emphasis on Power BI or other business intelligence apps.
  • Advanced skills in statistical techniques, and data modeling.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
