The Director of Quality Assurance (QA) will focus on the implementation, delivery, and adoption of various testing tools and frameworks across the OMF Technology organization. This role involves overseeing the selection and integration of testing solutions, enhancing test visualization, and assisting in the development of the overall testing strategy. The Director will work closely with delivery teams to foster effective collaborative relationships, ensuring the adoption of best practices in areas such as static analysis, code quality, and reporting. A critical aspect of the role is to establish effective feedback loops and champion the transition to modern testing methodologies, including Test-Driven Development (TDD), Behavior-Driven Development (BDD), and scriptless testing approaches, where appropriate. Additionally, the Director will guide the ongoing transformation towards SDET mindset promoting a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

This role is Hybrid. You should be located within a commutable distance to one of our offices located in Baltimore MD, Charlotte NC, Wilmington DE, Evansville IN, Chicago IL, or Dallas/Fort Worth TX.

Target base salary range is $150k -$190k, which is based on various factors including skills, work experience, and location. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for a competitive additional compensation program that is based on individual and company performance.

Required

  • Excellent collaboration skills, with a history of working closely with cross-functional delivery teams to establish and maintain effective relationships, ensuring the seamless integration of quality practices into the software development process.

  • Prior experience in leading or being a key contributor to large-scale technology transformations, particularly in transitioning teams to adopt modern QA practices and frameworks.

  • Proven capability to develop strategic testing plans, ensuring alignment with overall organizational goals and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within QA teams.

  • In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with modern testing methodologies, such as Test-Driven Development (TDD), Behavior-Driven Development (BDD), and scriptless testing approaches, demonstrating the ability to effectively integrate these practices into an organization's development lifecycle.

  • Strong technical expertise in a wide range of testing tools and frameworks, including static analysis tools and code quality metrics, with a demonstrated ability to select and implement the most suitable technologies for varying project needs.

  • Demonstrated commitment to promoting innovation within the QA domain, constantly exploring and adopting new tools and techniques to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of testing efforts.

  • Experience in establishing and nurturing an SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test) mindset within teams, including mentoring and coaching developers to take on quality responsibilities.
