Essential Functions
Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/healthcare errors.Ability to formulate an individualized plan of care, revise plan as indicated by the patient's response to treatment, and evaluation overall plan daily for effectiveness.Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, provider, patient and family following chain of command as appropriate.Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient protecting patient's rights.

Job Requirements
Required Licenses[Kentucky, United States] Registered Nurse
Current Registered Nurse license to practice in the State of Kentucky OR a current Registered Nurse Licensure with a multistate compact status.
Required SkillsCertifications:*Current American Heart Association BLS certification or obtained within 90 days after hire date*Current American Heart Association ACLS certification or obtained within 6 months after hire date*Must be able to meet the requirements of the department on call policy*Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision.*Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.Language skills: Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
Minimum Work ExperienceMinimum of one year experience in Critical Care - PreferredMinimum of one year experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab - Preferred
