We are looking for you to join our team as a Manager, Electrical Engineering based out of Woodland Hills, CA supporting our Strategic Navigation Programs operating unit.

What You’ll get to Do:

In this highly technical people leadership role you will provide functional and technical management of the Electrical Engineering team. As a functional leader, you will manage a team of electrical engineers and technicians in developing modern electronics for precision navigation systems in demanding environments.  Responsibilities include people leadership of a team of approximately 15 individuals, complex technical problem solving, staffing allocation, coaching/mentoring staff, collaboration across disciplines (Mechanical, Systems, etc.) and progress reporting at various levels of management.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or another STEM (Science Technology, Engineering, Math) discipline with 10 years of related experience, or a Master's Degree and 8 years of related experience
  • In depth experience of circuit card design, layout, fabrication, test and verification
  • Understanding of the electrical analysis methods and tools used for design verification (Signal Integrity, Worst Case Circuit Analysis, Component Stress, EMI, Reliability, etc.)
  • Experienced with PLM tools and processes used for electrical designs
  • Technical leadership with a track record of completing projects on budget and schedule
  • 3+ years of Management experience leading a diverse team of technical resources (direct reports, hiring, performance management)
  • Active DoD Secret clearance
  • Daily on-site work required at Woodland Hills, CA

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related discipline
  • Experienced with Siemen’s design and PLM tools (Xpedition / Mentor Graphics and Teamcenter), or Cadence design tools
  • Experience designing electronics for radiation environments
  • Preparation of deliverable reports and data (SDRL/CDRL)
  • Prior experience working in a classified work environment
  • Experience in design of electronics for use with precision sensors
  • Familiarity with Cost account management (CAM) for defense and aerospace programs (Earned Value)
  • Familiar with Agile product development methodology
  • Experience with failure analysis and troubleshooting techniques and methods (RCCAs)
  • Ability to obtain/maintain a Top Secret Clearance
Salary Range: $156,500 - $234,700
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
