Essential Job Functions:
- Adhere to all health and safety policies/procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and adhere to the required personal protective equipment (PPE) while in the warehouse or production areas (including but not limited to hairnets/beard nets, safety glasses, hearing protection, hard toe and slip/oil resistant shoes, appropriate safety gloves, and seatbelts while operating forklifts).
- Responsible for adhering to food quality and food safety guidelines per Refresco, Customer and/or governing bodies (ex. SQF) standards and coaches’ fellow employees as needed.
- Know, adhere and train all CCP(Critical Control Points)/Allergen processes for the VTIS.
- Demonstrate proper knowledge of start-up, operational, and shut down procedures associated with VTIS.
- Accurately read, interpret, and record data on charts and tables associates with VTIS processes; conducting sterile parameter checks according to the state inspection process PMO.
- Understand and accurately change and record critical machine parameters. Take immediate action when critical parameter exceeds or falls out of specification.
- Monitor all chart recorders and other check critical points to ensure critical parameters do not fall out of or exceed specification.
- Take immediate corrective action when a critical parameter is out of specification.
- Accurately fill out and maintain real time, state machine logs, and all PMO documentation. This will include stops and deviations in written formats on state log.
- Analyze and apply data collected to request and participate in machine/quality constant improvement actions.
- Perform CIP (clean in place) on VTIS, batch tanks, lines and aseptic tanks.
- Perform appropriate sampling and testing of CIP chemicals and final rinse waters associated with CIP.
- Perform routine inspection of the system for signs of leaks and other defects that would affect the cleaning of the equipment and/or processing of the product.
- Conduct appropriate titrations and pH testing, and document as needed.
- Ability to read and interpret MSDS sheets.
- Ensure working area is maintained as per GMPs.
 Required Skills:
- Experience in a high-speed beverage/food production environment working with VTIS system required. Ability to independently and efficiently operate and troubleshoot required manufacturing equipment following break-in periods.
- Must be forklift certified by an approved Refresco trainer.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division) for ingredients and batch adjustments.
- Ability to convert between units of measure (e.g., gallons to pounds, percent to batch).
- Ability to follow instructions.
- General mechanical skills.
- Proficient in quickly learning and adapting to new systems and technologies.

- Safety Awareness – knowledge of safety protocols, hazard identification, and adherence to safety regulations at all times. Timely and accurately completes monthly Alchemy training.
- Communication Skills – Effective verbal and written communication with team members and supervisors, reporting issues accurately, and collaborating to ensure smooth workflow. Follows equipment down-time escalation process schedule.
- Time management – Strong attention to detail while ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and accurately while meeting deadlines.
- Compliance awareness – Ensure adherence to regulations while driving improvements.
Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience working with VTIS system.
- Past WCM or ISO experience a plus.
Working Conditions:
- Work Schedule: Weekdays, weekends, afternoon, evenings, overnight and holidays may be required. Overtime scheduled as needed.
- Work environment- Frequently exposed to wet and varying temperature conditions between 60-130 degrees Fahrenheit. Loud noise, vibration, moving machinery/electrical parts, risk of electrical shock, airborne particles, high/precarious places, toxic/caustic chemicals, allergens including milk and milk by-products and fumes from food processing equipment.
