Position Overview

Lead the development and execution of a market-wide strategic health equity program specifically related to health disparities. The successful candidate will be a visionary, committed to ingenuity that will help influence and move the needle as it relates to health inequity within impacted communities. Oversee and implement strategies to promote and achieve health equity for all patients and actualize goals to become an equitable, diverse, and inclusive organization.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and lead the 1115 Waiver MassHealth Hospital Health Equity Incentive Program, including but not limited to
    • Ensuring completeness of demographic and health-related social needs data.
    • Meet performance goals for equitable access and quality, including implementing strategies that reduce healthcare disparities.
    • Enhance capacity and collaboration with clinicians and health system partners to improve quality and reduce health care disparities.
  • Work closely with the directors of quality and patient safety, clinical informatics, nurse education, and regulatory to monitor health equity and implement related performance improvement projects.
  • Fulfill the requirements of the MassHealth Hospital Quality and Equity Incentive Program (HQEIP).
  • Fulfill the requirements of the joint commission health care equity certification.
  • Partner with MassHealth ACO to conduct equity improvement/performance improvement projects.
  • Manage and lead healthcare equity committees ensuring market wide adoption of health equity initiatives.
  • Manage the diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) committees ensuring market wide engagement and lead activities that enhance DEI in our market.
  • Serve as an external spokesperson and subject matter specialist on DEI initiatives.
  • Serve as an internal change management expert to intentionally build and preserve a culture of DEI throughout the market.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required. Master’s degree in public health, public policy, clinical science, business administration or a related field strongly preferred.
  • Experience in project management, change management, health equity, diversity and inclusion.
