TheĀ Patient Care CoordinatorĀ functions as an integral member of the team to deliver exceptional customer service to our patients. TheĀ Patient Care CoordinatorĀ works alongside the clinical staff to ensure efficient patient service within the department.

Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:30am-4pmĀ 

Location: 1145 Broadway St. Seattle, WA 98122

Primary Responsibilities:

  • First point of contact for our patients. Sets the tone for a positive experience
  • Exhibits empathy, courtesy, competence, efficiency and care
  • Schedules appointments and procedures, following standard guidelines
  • Uses Multiple computer and phone systems to fulfill patient needs over phone
  • Verifies patient information, while documenting in their Electronic Health Record (EPIC)
  • Advises patients of their responsibilities regarding insurance and referral information
  • Performs outreach calls to the patients to help get the patients scheduled for screenings

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma / GED (or higher)
  • 1+ year(s) of customer service experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1+ year(s) of experience in a medical office or clinic setting
  • Previous experience with appointment scheduling within a medical office or call center type roleĀ 
  • UCB/ACD Desktop phone system experience
  • Previous experience with EMR systems, prefer EPIC
  • A basic knowledge of medical terminology
  • Experience or knowledge of insurance/prior authorizations Ā
