Community Occupational Therapist - Social Services (Adult & Paediatric)
Locum Contract
Full time hours preferred (condensed hours, part time and hybrid working considered pending service needs).
£37p/h
Ceredigion - required to travel across the whole county, carrying out assessments in people's homes.
Our Local Authority client are recruiting experienced Occupational Therapists to fulfill a number of Social Services community roles, focusing on both adult and paediatric case management. (With options to hold only adult, children or a mixed case load - dependant on interest and experience).
Key Responsibilities
- Managing complex cases involving long-term and chronic conditions.
- Conducting manual handling assessments and creating associated plans.
- Performing postural assessments and providing specialist seating and wheelchair prescriptions.
- Demonstrating comprehensive knowledge of complex manual handling equipment and disability aids.
- Assessing, recommending, and planning minor and major environmental adaptations (e.g., stairlifts, fixed hoist systems, shower/bathing facilities).
- Supervising and supporting junior OTs and OTAs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- IT competence and ability to prioritise caseloads independently.
- Full driving license and access to a car for home assessments across Ceredigion.
