Are you a Workshop Technician based in Aberdeen looking to transfer into a new field? Cammach are recruiting a Workshop Technician on behalf of our growing client based in Aberdeen on a permanent contract. Our client is looking for a candidate that has completed an HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering with some practical work experience within a workshop based role.

As Workshop technician for our client, you will apply your existing Mechanical/Hydraulic experience to repair and service ROV tooling and Manipulators, full training on which will be provided.

Salary - Circa £35,000

Hours - Monday - Friday 8am - 4.30pm + Overtime

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Strip, inspect and asses subsea hydraulic and mechanical systems such as ROV tools and rate-controlled manipulator systems
  • Conduct repairs, rebuilds, and maintenance tasks on hydraulic and mechanical equipment, ensuring adherence to company standards and specifications
  • Produce through assessment reports, including photographs, fault identification and recommended repair actions
  • Prepare accurate cost quotations for repairs based on assessments
  • Ensure parts and consumables are available and track usage for efficient workshop operations
  • Maintain a high standard of workmanship, following company and industry quality protocols
  • Provide support during equipment testing or mobilisation at client sites, as required
  • Responsible for goo workshop and office housekeeping
  • Excellent awareness of H+S within a workshop/ office environment

REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience working with Mechanical and hydraulic equipment essential
  • Time Served Mechanical / Hydraulic Technician
  • Knowledge/ experience of ROV tooling and rate controlled manipulator systems desirable
  • Basic knowledge of computing tasks to create engineering reports and costs
  • Full UK driving licence desirable
  • Ability to work in a customer facing role, maintaining professional image at all times
  • Comfortable working as part of a small, tight knit team
