Engage Talent Partners are working exclusively with our client to source and recruit a Business Development Manager, based in Aberdeen.

Our client is an expanding manufacturing company with a strong presence in oil and gas, nuclear, renewables and industrial sectors. This is an exciting period to join a growing business with ambitions to grow in coming years.

In this role you will report to the Commercial Manager and be responsible for implementing the strategic business development plan to generate new business opportunities and grow client relationships.

Key responsibilities:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities across various sectors.
  • Generate and manage a pipeline of project leads through various channels, including networking, industry events and market research.
  • Implement strategic sales plans to achieve growth within the company.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations and proposals to prospective clients.
  • Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and potential opportunities.
  • Monitor and report on sales performance, providing regular updates to senior management.
  • Attend industry events, conferences, and trade shows to network and promote products and solutions.

The ideal candidate will be degree qualified with progressive experience in business development, skilled in generating future pipelines, tendering and demonstratable experience working in at least one of the relevant industries. You will have a strategic mindset, ideally be willing to travel and familiarity with CRM systems.
