The successful Area Sales Manager / Sales Engineer / Business Development Manager will be responsible for key account management with major customers and new business development for flow control products such as valves, actuators and similar products into various industries across Scotland via distribution and OEM channels.
The Area Sales Manager /Sales Engineer / Business Development Manager will ideally have experience selling Flow control products such as valves, actuators, steam solutions, pumps, rotating equipment or similar flow control products.

Area Sales Manager / Sales Engineer / Business Development Manager Role
- Managing a number of key accounts via distribution channels and OEM customers of valve equipment into various industries including oil, gas, petrochemical, power and water industries amongst others.
- Manage and grow existing relationships as well as business development for flow control equipment such as actuators, ball valves, butterfly valves, control valves, hygienic valves and plug valves products and solutions across Scotland.
- Maintaining valves and actuators sales with demonstration, exhibition and negotiation in order to achieve targets.
- Working closely with the Valves service department to ensure an excellent standard of after-sales service is provided.
- Completing valve and actuator product selections, preparing quotes & following up on quotations & projects.
- Fully remote covering Scotland
- Liaise with various engineering departments.
Area Sales Manager / Sales Engineer / Business Development Manager Requirements
- Experience as an Area Sales Manager, Sales Engineer, Business Development Manager, Key Account Manager, Technical Sales Engineer, UK Sales Manager or similar having sold a mechanical engineering product.
- Experience selling mechanical engineering products such as valves, actuators, steam solutions, pumps, rotating equipment, or similar flow control products.
- Proven sales background within flow control equipment including actuators, ball valves, butterfly valves, control valves, hygienic valves, plug valves or similar valves-related products and / or solutions would be preferred.
- Determination, enthusiasm, and motivation to succeed and grow with a reputable valves supplier.
- A technical mechanical engineering, or instrumentation qualification,
- Apprentice trained, HNC, HND or degree would be advantageous.
- Full clean driving license, willingness to travel across Scotland.
