Our client is currently recruiting for an ROV Support Engineer. Based in Aberdeen, the role can be offered on a contract or permanent basis and offers hybrid working.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide technical and operational support to ROV systems
  • Carry out support activities related to loading out of ROV systems, including checking and preparing workshop spares, preparing inventories, carrying out system pre-mob checks, etc.
  • Process received offshore MRs and assist with expediting as required, including clarification on part queries.
  • Monitor receipt of ROV maintenance and technical reports, and review/action any issues identified
  • Co-ordinate re-certification activities for the ROV systems offshore
  • Ensure all ROV critical spares checks are conducted and that shortfalls are actioned in a timely manner
  • Co-ordinate spare parts shipments to ROV systems offshore
  • To process and follow up actions related to Damage/Malfunction/Failure (DMF) reports that are received from the ROV systems
  • Participate in the ‘on-call’ duty rota (optional)
  • To ensure that all activities are carried out in a manner consistent with company policy on health, safety, quality and environmental matters in accordance with company specific procedures.

REQUIREMENTS

  • University or College Engineering education to BSc/BEng or higher. If not degree qualified in Engineering, eg: HND or HNC qualified, to have suitable experience, including analytical ability, that is equivalent thereto.
  • Technical Competencies and Skills:
  • Previous offshore experience with ROV systems/operations, and good communication skills, ability to communicate with several departments to coordinate ROV support.
  • Ability to specify, select and order mechanical, hydraulic or electrical equipment for offshore use.
