We are recruiting for a time served PIpefitter for a busy fabrication shop in Aberdeen. Previous experience in a fabrication shop is essential. No Accommodation

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Participate in all relevant company safety procedures and pre job planning, including toolbox talks and risk assessments.
  • Laying/Marking out, cutting, forming and joining metal pipe.
  • Aligning and fixing pieces together through welding, bolting, threading and bending.
  • Produce tack welds on various items using a variety of processes, manual arc, tungsten inert gas, metallic inert gas, brazing etc.
  • Fulfil all company and/or client procedures and understand their individual responsibility with regard to overall QHSE performance.
  • Maintaining quality of work and ensuring compliance with job specific procedures and qualifications.
  • Must be flexible, able to adapt to different situations which may require working overtime hours.
  • Site work may also be required, working to client’s safety procedures and quality systems.
  • Working under limited supervision using standardised practices and/or methods

REQUIREMENTS

  • Operating equipment used in pipefitting / fabricating and may also require the operating of associated workshop machinery, tools, welding and tacking up assemblies.
  • Knowledge required of methods, techniques, materials, tools used in metal fabrication, welding, maintenance, repair, safety practices and procedures.

39-hour basic week, with overtime thereafter. Regular overtime each week.
