My client is a multi disciplined global engineering group who are experiencing a period of sustained growth. They are seeking highly motivated and ambitious individuals to supplement their established Marine Electrical business in Aberdeen, the baseline requirements shown are essential with training given to meet their diverse needs in Marine Engineering, Oil and Gas and Onshore Contracting,

Key Responsibilities & Accountability

  • Reading and understanding scaled technical drawings from marine, commercial and industrial maintenance sectors
  • Installations, testing and inspections of installed circuits and components
  • Power generation/management with AC and DC circuits, generator and battery power sources
  • Fitting cable management and containment systems such as cable trays and trunking
  • Running cable looms across the boat
  • Reporting issues on Safety, Quality, resources etc. liaising with management to resolve problems and implement changes

Qualifications, Experience & Personal Attributes

  • Demonstrable experience in Electrical Engineering
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience within a similar electrical or Marine Industry preferred
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations Certificate Advantageous but not essential
  • A leadership approach to health and safety and environmental obligations
  • Good communication skills both verbal and written
  • Ability to work under own initiative as well as part of a team
  • Willing to work away from home for periods (project dependent)
  • Computer and software literate
  • Attention to detail and able to multitask
  • Full UK driving licence
