Engage Talent Partners are working with our Aberdeen based client to source an HR Advisor.

Our client are specialised Oil & Gas and Maritime service company who have enjoyed huge growth over the last few years and they are looking to grow the HR team.

In this role you will report directly to the HR Director and you will provide support to managers and employees on a global basis, whilst promoting and supporting people focused initiatives. The HR Advisor will manage recruitment, payroll and employee data activities and collaborate with the Group HR Director on specific projects.

Key responsibilities:

  • Proactively provide guidance and advice to managers to understand business requirements and determine the most appropriate people solutions.
  • Ensure active involvement in all wellbeing and people focused initiatives.
  • Lead the recruitment process in terms of creating job posts, screening candidates, arranging interviews and ensuring effective candidate management is maintained. Prepare job offers and ensure pre-employment checks are completed effectively.
  • Prepare any employee documentation e.g. transfers, promotions etc., and ensure necessary systems/payroll are updated accordingly. Manage the coordination of documentation for payroll in a timely manner.
  • Present Company inductions and complete welcome reviews with all new employees.
  • Continually seek opportunities to improve employee engagement and work to coach managers on improving this.
  • Input data in the HR Information System, ensuring accuracy and timely processing. Run reports and provide information to appropriate stakeholders.
  • Assist with a review of HR policies and procedures, ensuring that these are compliant with applicable laws and both understood and applied across the business.
  • Contribute to the advancement of People Development Programmes.
  • Support the HR Director with ad-hoc projects as required.
  • Handling confidential information in a professional manner.

The ideal candidate will be CIPD qualified with relevant experience from a similar role and bring an enthusiastic and ambitious approach.

The successful candidate will be rewarded with a salary up to 45k plus pension, healthcare including vision and dental as well as a generous holiday allowance.
