About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee and manage a short-term hotel fit-out project in Aberdeen. This fast-paced project requires strong leadership and a commitment to high-quality standards to ensure the timely and successful completion of the refurbishment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Oversight: Manage all on-site operations, ensuring the project adheres to timelines, budgets, and client specifications.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and coordinate subcontractors, tradespeople, and suppliers to ensure efficient workflow and collaboration.
  • Quality Assurance: Maintain the highest standards of quality in finishes and fit-out details, addressing any issues promptly.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Enforce health and safety policies, ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel.
  • Scheduling & Coordination: Develop and monitor daily schedules, identifying and resolving potential delays or conflicts.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Act as the primary on-site liaison for the client, project manager, and other stakeholders, providing updates and managing expectations.
  • Problem Solving: Address and resolve any on-site challenges to minimize disruptions to project progress.
  • Site Documentation: Maintain accurate records of daily activities, deliveries, and any scope changes.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Site Manager, ideally with a background in hotel fit-out or refurbishment projects.
  • Strong understanding of construction and fit-out processes, particularly for high-specification interiors.
  • Excellent leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple teams and tight deadlines.
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations and on-site compliance practices.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with stakeholders.
  • Relevant certifications such as SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme), CSCS card, and First Aid (preferred).
