Specialising in downhole tools and wells engineering, delivering high-quality services and products to worldwide clients.  Urgently seeking a talented and experienced Design Drafts/CAD Engineer to join this dynamic team based in East Scotland. This is a permanent career opportunity, working Monday to Friday offering a highly attractive salary of £60,000 plus an unrivalled employee benefits package.
As a leading supplier of downhole tools and equipment for directional drilling and well completion applications, this client seeks an experienced candidate who can evidence a minimum of 3-5 years of previous, relevant experience. Â Best suited to a candidate who can demonstrate working with varied high-value, high-strength precision components and steel for the oilfield industry.
Job Description:Â As a Design Drafts/CAD Engineer, you will be responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and designs for downhole and wells engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed CAD drawings and 3D models using SolidWorks.
- Collaborate with engineers to create accurate and functional designs for downhole tools and equipment.
- Review and modify existing designs to improve performance and efficiency.
- Ensure all designs comply with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Prepare technical documentation and reports as required.
- Assist in the development of new products and technologies.
Qualifications:
- Educated to Degree Level Engineering – Mechanical Design or similar
- Proven experience as a Design Drafts/CAD Engineer in downhole and wells engineering.
- Proficiency in CAD software and SolidWorks.
- Strong understanding of engineering principles and design standards.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
