  • Our client, a local authority in Aberdeen, is seeking a qualified Property Inspector (mechanical) with experience in commercial heating and ventilation systems.
  • The role involves working with the public buildings team to ensure compliance and maintenance of building plant and equipment, conducting on-site inspections, and managing contractor performance.
  • Candidates must possess an SVQ/NVQ Level 3 in Installation of commercial boiler maintenance and hold a valid driving license, along with health and safety awareness.
  • Preferred qualifications include CSCS certification, asbestos awareness, and experience in local authority settings or construction sites.
  • The position offers a competitive salary of £35,000 per year, and applicants should have relevant experience in the field.

Our client is a local authority located in Aberdeen with a current requirement for a Property Inspector (mechanical) 

 

Whilst in this role you will be required to; 

  • Work with the public buildings team delivering repairs and maintenance to ensure building plant and equipment is compliant and well maintained. 
  • Carry out on site inspections 
  • Maintain statutory and mandatory records, issue instruction to mechanical term contractors, assist in managing contractor performance. 

To be successful in this role;

  • Qualified and experienced in commercial heating systems and ventilation systems with knowledge of fire suppression systems.
  • Have the ability to work within a team, ability to contribute at meetings, liaise with building responsible persons. 
  • Using a variety of IT packages including email, internet and Microsoft applications (Word and Excel) 

Essential for this role;

  • SVQ/NVQ Level 3 in Installation of commercial boiler maintenance and/or controls or any comprehensive training or accredited scheme to prove competence in boiler operation, maintenance, and safety.
  • Driving license
  • Experience with commercial heating systems
  • Health and safety awareness

Preferred;

  • CSCS 
  • Asbestos awareness
  • Experience working in Local Authority
  • Experience with construction sites
