Purpose of the Role:
To conduct testing in laboratory including but not limited to production enhancement, swells, sand control, dissolvable materials, is done efficiently, safely and in a timely manner. To develop new test set-ups to meet the requirements of the company.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Control of laboratory testing including setting up, planning, performing and reporting of the tests.
• Deputise for Laboratory Team Lead as required.
• Control of fluids, chemicals, consumables in the lab and ensure paperwork (MSDS, COSHH) is in order.
• Ensuring appropriate QHSE paperwork is kept up to date including daily maintenance, calibrations and stock checks.
• Control of testing for development & sustaining product lines projects within the given timeframe.
• Perform elastomer QC testing for production facilities.
• Development and implementation of new test processes, test set-ups and procedures in line with company project requirements.
• Mentoring and supporting junior staff to improve competency across the team
• Project support for all well completions product lines including but not limited to production enhancement, zonal isolation, sand and inflow control, dissolvable materials and PulseEight wireless technology.
Essential Skills:
• Excellent problem-solving abilities displaying a logical and pro-active response.
• Show a strong understanding of testing requirements.
• Strong communication skills and ability to deliver well written and constructed technical documentation.
• Ability to use standard Microsoft office packages, e.g. excel, word, PowerPoint.
• Demonstrate an ability to work unsupervised and exercise initiative to resolve potential problems.
• Laboratory Experience with developing new test set ups and processes.
• Minimum 5 years working in a laboratory environment
Essential: Degree in engineering or oilfield discipline.
