Collaborating with an innovative new build housing developer based in Aberdeen who are seeking a talented Quantity Surveyor to enhance their commercial team. We are looking for a talented individual with experience of delivering, ideally, new build housing developments, however wider construction experience is greatly welcomed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and manage cost estimates, budgets, and cash flow forecasts for new build housing projects.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and assist in project planning and procurement.
  • Monitor project progress and costs, ensuring that all financial targets are met.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure project specifications are adhered to.
  • Prepare and submit progress reports and assist in resolving any cost-related issues.
  • Conduct valuations and manage variations, ensuring that all changes are documented accurately.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry, ideally with a focus on new build housing projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legislation.
  • Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
  • Proficiency in relevant software
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
