Brightwork are pleased to be recruiting for a Transport Coordinator on behalf of our client based in Aberdeen, on a full time, permanent basis.
As Transport Coordinator you will support the Transport Manager with the co-ordination of road shipments from start to finish, including quotation, ensuring that clients receive excellent customer service care throughout all aspects of their enquiry. You will liaise with internal & external clients for all transport related issues and bookings, for Norwegian and Holland / European trailer traffic.
Working with this client, duties will include but are not limited to:
- Offering competitive pricing to clients.
- Ensuring jobs awarded are processed and followed through to completion.
- Billing clients as per working SOP's
- Completing Pre-Alerts / Advising Customs Clearance instructions
- Liaising with the warehouse regarding incoming/outgoing freight.
- Booking Ferry Spaces / Port base etc
- Updating customers on Progress
- Job files are processed and completed within the monthly/year end schedules.
- Load planning for Norway / European Trailers
Experience:
- Transport/logistics experience
- Computer literate using Microsoft programmes
- Good telephone manner
- Ability to multi-task
- Team player
- Demonstrate forward planning
